A flight in an restored De Haviland (optional) will allow you to experience some of the exceptional scenery from above. Then we travel through the beautiful area of the Catlins with it’s abundance of wildlife, waterfalls and pristine coastline. With 3 nights accommodation in an Eco lodge in the Catlins you will have ample time to relax and enjoy this still relatively unknown area. Your local guide and his knowlegde of the area will ensure you experience the Catlins first hand. Departing the Catlins we head west towards Fiordland. En route we  stop at a private farm for a tour and lunch. Then it's on to the edge of Fiordland where an unforgettable 2 hour jet boat ride and walks though dense native bush take us to the bottom of the South Island. We overnight here in a remote lodge and enjoy a typical Kiwi BBQ style dinner. The WOW factor of the location will more than make up for the basic facilities of the lodge. Returning  the next day to  Invercargill and Bluff we catch the ferry to Stewart Island, known for its native bush and birds. A full day tour incl. a guided walk over Ulva Island (wildlife sanctuary) and a  chance to fish for Blue Cod will showcase the untouched beauty of Stewart Island. Your luxury lodge on Stewart Island serves late afternoon hors d'oeuvres and drinks  while you enjoy the view from its lounge over the bay. After returning to Invercargill Airport by way of a scenic  flight from Stewart Island we drive back to Queenstown, many experiences richer. During this stunning journey you will have the opportunity to meet with local people, hear the stories of our Maori heritage and experience some wonderful cuisine.
