This tour will give you the opportunity to visit a ‘Marae’ and participate in a workshop bone carving where you can make your own ‘souvenir’. In Havelock we visit to a contemporary Maori art gallery , a private collection of 25 years, for an insight into Maori art and culture. A scenic flight or cruise to your secluded lodge in the Marlborough Sounds and a gourmet dinner with local wines ends this wonderful day. The following day we''ll let you experience even more of the delights that Marlborough has to offer. Depart from the lodge with a boat tour along the bays of the Marlborough Sounds and then head inland to enjoy lunch and wine tasting in a number of Marlborough's formidable wineries. End this cultural experience in the area of the Nelson Lakes staying in a historic cob hotel with New Zealand's smallest bar. It's history is steeped in interesting stories and for one night it is a home away from home. On your final day visit Lakes Rotoiti and Rotorua ( weather permitting via 4WD track) before we return you to Nelson. ( other places by request)
